This 80-year old military observation tower was built during WWII as part of the Harbor Defenses of Portsmouth. Standing 73-feet high and boasting 12-inch-thick walls, this unique structure was the only one of its kind built in New Hampshire. It is one of 12 remaining WWII observation towers and has now made its way onto the National Register of Historic Places.
