The Great Bay National Wildlife Refuge has been harboring migratory birds and wildlife that inhabit the eastern shore of the Great Bay in New Hampshire since 1992. The refuge is known for its massive untouched shores and large population of bald eagles. Many endangered species and rare birds can also be found nesting in the refuge. It contains 1,000 acres of wetlands, marshes, and woodlands for animals to nest and migrate. Visitors are welcome to bird-watch, hike, and hunt (within regulations) in the refuge.
