This hike is a fun full-day trip up one of the least explored mountains in the White Mountain National Forest. During the trip, you will traverse four different mountain peaks, including the legendary 4,832-foot Carter Dome. From this summit, you will have panoramic views over the Presidential Range and Wildcat Mountains. Before you reach the Dome, you will cross the South and Middle Carter Mountains as well as the ranges second-largest peak, Mount Hight. While they are not as astounding as Carter Dome, they still offer great views over the forest.
