Mount Carrigain via Signal Ridge Details

The summit to this mountainous peak may be a long journey, but it boasts fantastic views of the Franconia Ridge, the Presidental Range, and Mount Chocorua, which makes it worth the extra effort. This 9-mile journey should take you about 2.5 to 3 hours each way, although the majority of the trail is flat. You will have a sharp incline towards the end, although you won't need to climb over rocks or do any scrambling to reach the peak. Because the trail is mostly wooded, it is fine to do on a summer day. The summit is exposed and open, but there is a nice breeze, so you will not feel the humidity as much.
