Lincoln Woods Trail Details
As one of the more accessible trails in the White Mountains, this 2.9-mile hike is a great option for a half-day trip. Most of the path is along the abandoned East Branch and Lincoln Railroad line, which means It is relatively flat and easy to traverse. It is also well shaded as you’ll be hiking through the dense wood forest. However, there will be clearings along the way where you can enjoy the dramatic views the White Mountains are known for. The bridge crossing in the first part of the hike allows you to see the mighty Pemigewasset River, while the end of the journey gives you views of Mount Bond and Birch Island Brook.
