Coastal Byway Details

Although New Hampshires coastline is relatively small, it is considered to be one of the most scenic along the east coast. This byway allows you to see it in all its glory, from the historic 18th-century villages to the golden sand beaches dotted along the ocean. This 18.5-mile road starts in Portsmouth (a fascinating city in itself) and travels south to Seabrook. Visit the sun-soaked shores of Hampton Beach, admire the fishing boats chugging back and forth from Rye Harbor, or explore the historic forts at Odiorne Point State Park.
