Wormsloe Historic Site Details

Located in Savannah, this colonial estate is the oldest standing structure in the city. It was built by English settler Noble Jones between 1739 and 1745 as a plantation for cotton, grains, and vegetables. However, it is not the building that makes this site worth visiting most people come to see the 1.5-mile-long avenue lined with over 400 massive oak trees. After you make the walk along oak avenue (do not forget to bring your camera!), you will see the ruins of the estate and a small museum that houses a few artifacts from the 18th century.
