There is a world of natural beauty to uncover in this state park, like cascading waterfalls, rugged mountain cliffs, and densely wooded forest. However, the deep gorge of the canyon is by far the most spectacular sight. Carved by the mighty Sitton Gulch Creek, the crevice of the canyon can be anywhere from 800 to almost 2,000-feet deep. For the best views into the canyon, take the West Rim Loop Trail. The vast views over the valleys towards the east rim are nothing short of breathtaking.
