This park is a few steps from the southernmost point of Jekyll Island. In addition to having a small beach, this area is also a haven for birdwatchers and wildlife viewers. Climb up the two-story wildlife viewing platform to look for migratory birds on the beach or dolphins jumping through the waves of the ocean. You can even go for a walk along the Wanderer Memorial Trail, which tells the story of 500 enslaved Africans who arrive on the island on Americas last slave ship. There are individual exhibits and informative signs along the trail detailing their experience and fight for freedom.
