Robin Lake Beach Details
You do not have to head towards the coast to enjoy a fun day at the beach in Georgia! This 1-mile stretch of soft white sand is located near the Alabama border 80 miles south of Atlanta. It is the largest man-made beach in the world, hugging the coast of the 65-acre freshwater Robin Lake. It is only in the summer from Memorial Day until Labor Day, although it is buzzing with life and activity almost every day in between. You can rent kayaks and paddleboards, cruise the shore on a beach bike, or simply soak up the sun on the sand. The beach also hosts various events, like wakeboarding tournaments and a hot air balloon festival.
