Located at the end of a 4.5-mile hiking trail in the heart of the Cohutta Wilderness, this waterfall is one of the more remote places to go swimming. The long albeit scenic trip detours many people from visiting, so you will likely have the place all to yourself (especially if you are hiking on a weekday). The 80-foot waterfall drops into a deep, rugged pool at the bottom. You can go for a swim or enjoy a nice break in the shade along the banks of the riverbed. If you would like to extend your trip, you are more than welcome to pitch a tent and spend a few nights in the middle of this beautiful forest.
