Gober Beach Details

This spot may not be the easiest place to reach, but it is worth the effort if you are looking for an uncrowded place to go swimming. This calm beach is located on the banks of the Etowah River near exit 24 on the I-575 highway, although do not expect to see any signs or trail marks pointing where to go. When you do find the turnoff from the highway, you can easily walk to this little beach directly on the river. Besides swimming, this area is also a popular spot for kayakers.
