Georgia is tallest mountain is an outdoor wonderland for both humans and birds. During late spring or early summer, you can spot tons of birds hovering above, including ravens, warblers, and even the ruffed grouse. Best of all, you do not have to trek very far to experience the best birding opportunities. Many of these creatures can be found right at the entrance of the visitor center (although they are also present around many of the hiking trails too).
