It winds along its namesake river and past several different green parks until it reaches the Sandy Creek Nature Center. It is worth stopping off and wandering through the 225-acre property to see native woodland and wetland habitats. The visitor center also has live reptile and amphibian exhibits that adults and kids can both enjoy.
