Indian Seats Trail Details

Located in the Sawnee Mountain Preserve, this summit of the Sawnee Mountain is one of the best spots to gaze over Georgias Blue Ridge Mountains. In addition to the crawling mountain skylines and acres of green coniferous forests, you will also see small villages and towns dotted in the distance as you reach the center point of this 3.2-mile hike. As you navigate the series of switchbacks to the top, you will also encounter an old gold mine entrance (although it is gated and not open to the public). However, this is only one spot where you will feel the spiritual essence of nature, which will lead you to ponder what other historic events took place on this mountain.
