Meriwether-Pike Scenic Byway Details

This scenic drive honors longtime Georgia resident and 32nd president of the United States Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Although born and raised in New York, FDR spent many years before, during, and after his presidency in Warm Springs. He built a house (known as the Little White House) and even founded a polio rehabilitation center in town. You can see many of the historic sites tied to FDRs life while driving along this 55-mile loop. The route starts at the Warm Springs Welcome Center and travels into the town of Gay before heading on SR 109. From there, it visits Molena before looping back around to Warm Springs.
