With over 100 miles of coastline, you can safely bet that Georgia has a fair number of beautiful beaches to explore. While many people flock to the shores for a sun-soaked day out on the water, there are also plenty of places that offer a more rugged experience. Many of Georgias barrier islands are protected wilderness areas, which means you will get to see a more undeveloped area filled with native flora and fauna. However, you can also kick back at one of the resort towns too, sunbathing, swimming, or cycling along the pristine white sand beaches.
