Surrounded by towering pines and oaks and tucked away from any big roads and parking lots, it is truly an awe-inspiring sight to see. You can reach the falls by visiting the 3,775-acre Burden Falls Wilderness Area, which is part of the Shawnee National Forest. You vwill have to hike down a 3.5-mile trail before you come across it, which only adds to the mysteriousness of this natural wonder.
