Buffalo Viewing Trail Details
As its name implies, this trail is one of the best spots in the state to view the majestic buffalo herds that roam through the grassland prairies. They are relatively new to the park (the herds were only introduced in 2015), although they have become the main attraction for many hikers and visitors. The entire 3.6-mile loop is flat and well-maintained, which is great for leisurely walkers or families. In addition to buffalo viewing, you will also get the chance to see a few ammunition bunkers and military plants that were used during WWII. But even besides these notable attractions, this walk through the tranquil grasslands is guaranteed to be a memorable and scenic hike.
