Between the frozen waterfalls and budding wildflower fields, there is really not a bad time to go hiking along this trail in Makanda. As you travel along this 1.3-mile trail, you will catch glimpses of the beautiful bluff views and canyon vistas that overlook the forest below. The area is also teeming with a vast variety of flora and fauna. Besides the bushels of flowering trilliums, you will also see many other lush plants and foliage as you make the steep climb to the top. Also keep an eye out for deer, foxes, rabbits, and even bobcats that live in the area.
