There may be plenty of beautiful spots to visit in this state park, however, the views from this scenic lookout are second to none. The trail is not particularly long, but it is the destination that counts rather than the journey. The .3-mile trek is not long, but you will need to ascend up 138 stairs to reach the viewpoint. There are two different outlook decks at the top, both boasting 360-degree views over the tree-tops surrounding the river. One of the decks has benches, where you could easily sit for hours just soaking in the fantastic sweeping scenery.
