Sprague Lake Details

Once home to a resort owned by the Sprague family during the early 20th century, this shallow, 13-acre lake is now home to an accessible, self-guided nature trail that circles the lake. The trail, which is a popular sunrise trail, crosses a small stream, and through a small aspen grove and Rocky Mountain maple stand before reaching the lake's shores. From the east shore there are fantastic views of Taylor, Otis, and Hallett Peaks, as well as Flattop and Notchtop Mountains. This area also provides good access to Bear Lake, Glacier Gorge, and Glacier Creek Trail.
