Lowry Ruin Details

As one of the most prominent sites in the Canyons of the Ancient Nationals Monument, this archeological site was built over 1,000 years ago by Ancestral Puebloans. This housing unit was believed to have housed 40 to 100 villagers within it is 40-room structure. In addition to the living spaces, this pueblo also contains a kiva or circular communal room that would be used for meetings or spiritual ceremonies. It is size and unique structure make it of the most recognizable sites affiliated with Puebloan culture.
