This historic mill, also known as Mayflower Mill, was built in 1929 in Silverton to mine for silver, gold, lead, zinc, and copper. During it is glory days, it was processing over 1,000 tons of ore per day. Although it ceased mining operations in 1945, it is still used to separate metals and crushed ores using selective flotation, making it the only the last remaining mill of its kind. As such, it was declared a National Register of Historic Places as well as a National Historic Landmark.
