Cave of the Winds Details

Hidden inside an unassuming canyon near the Monitou Cliff Dwellings is a dark, eerie world of natural wonder. These caves were only discovered less than 150 years ago, although Apache legend suggests that it was once the home of the Great Spirit of the Wind for millions of years. The caves consist of dozens of unique features like rare crystalline stalactites and delicate gravity-defying helictites, which are incredibly rare to find in caves of this size. Daily tours of the caves are conducted daily, which gives visitors the chance to step inside the many rooms and chambers of this mysterious cavern.
