Rainbow Hot Springs Details
Often overlooked for the well-developed hot springs in the neighboring town of Pagosa Springs, these bathing pools offer a more primitive and rural experience for anyone who wants to enjoy a soothing soak in nature. These springs are tucked away in the Weminuche Wilderness Area next to the San Juan River and require a relatively challenging 4.5-mile hike to reach. Although that may seem like a lot of effort just to reach a couple of warm hot springs, it is worth every step once you see the spectacular pine forest view. There are two different pools at this sight one that is 105 Fahrenheit and one that is a more pleasant 95 Fahrenheit.
