Take the 5.5-mile roundtrip Bear Lake Trailhead and you will encounter this trio of three majestic lakes nestled in the Rocky Mountains. About ½ a mile into your journey you will stumble across Nymph Lake. It is surface is dotted with green lilypads which actually makes it look more like a pond. From there, you will head to Dream Lake and admire the towering pines that surround the perimeter of the water. If you are feeling extra brave, you can dip your toes in the ice-cold water. Your last stop along the hike is Emerald Lake, which gets its name from the vividly bright turquoise waters.
