This pretty beach had a wide stretch of sand and plenty of well-maintained facilities which makes it a popular destination in the summer for both tourists and locals. Many people come to camp for the weekend or to take advantage of the unique floating restaurant next to the marina. Of course, it is also one of the best places in Colorado to go swimming. There is a specific beach just for swimmers with showers, changing rooms, lifeguards, and a swim lane located on the western side of the reservoir. Besides swimming, this lake is also used for fishing, boating, and kayaking.
