This 12-mile journey through the Westminster suburb of Denver is a gentle, family-friendly path where you can explore a quieter side of the city. It travels east to west from Interstate 25 to Standley Lake boasting wide, expansive views of the surrounding area and neighborhoods. The entire trail is paved with just a few hills and curves to tackle. Despite being close to the city, there is a surprising number of wild creatures that you might encounter including hawks, pelicans, and prairie dogs. While you can not go swimming in the lake, you can enjoy a colorful sunset while you watch the boats pass by.
