Poudre River Trail

For a gentle ride through the outskirts of Weld County, spend the afternoon cycling along this 21.8-mile bike path. The diverse scenery is nothing short of breathtaking, as there is something unique to see around each turn. Whether you are marveling at the mighty Cache la Poudre River or admiring the peacefulness of the grassy wildflower fields, this trail has plenty to offer in terms of natural beauty. There are several places where you can stop for a break, including Island Grove Regional Park, the Pourde Ponds, and the Signature Bluffs Natural Area. The Frank State Wildlife Area and the Kodak Watchable Wildlife Area are also two great stopping spots where you can see turkeys, eagles, and hawks.
