Animas River Trail Details

This pleasant 9.4-mile route along the Animas River is a mix of both scenic views and urban landscapes. It starts near Animas City Park and cuts through numerous parks, shopping malls, and residential areas as it heads south towards La Posta Road. During the summer, you WIll see kayakers and innertubes floating through the water. The trail has five different bridge crossings where you can stop to take a break and to enjoy the scenic views overlooking the river.
