Colorado River Trail Details
Considered as an easy trail by most, the Colorado River Trail follows the upper stretch of this great American river; its source being roughly 6 miles from the trailhead. The trail is largely wooded, with openings that offer hikers a glimpse at the Never Summer mountains, as well as grasslands filled with wildflowers. There are a few stream crossings along the trail, and the elevation gain is less than 500 feet. The trail ends at Lulu City--an old, very short-lived mining town from the 1800s.
