Not for the faint of heart, this byway climbs over 7,000-feet towards the summit of Mount Evans in just 28 miles. And with a final altitude of 14,130 feet, you will be able to say you have driven along the highest paved drive on the entire continent! As you make your way up the mountain, you will be treated to sweeping views of the Continental Divide in addition to the distance glacier peaks and alpine lakes that dot the landscape. You will also be able to visit the Mount Evans Wilderness, one of the best places in Colorado to see mountain goats and bighorn sheep.
