With an 880-acre natural reservoir, Cherry Creek's prairie environment hosts a multitude of activities. For boaters, check out the Cherry Creek Marina and Yacht Club. There are more than 12 miles of paved biking trails, while runners, hikers, horseback riders and cyclists can enjoy 35 miles of multi-use trails. There are more than 40 mammals in the park, including mule deer and eastern cottontail rabbits. The park has areas for picnicking, a shooting range, camping, bird watching, skiing and fishing.
