Sweitzer Lake is a day-use-only park, home to more than 179 species of birds. Catch-and-release fishing is allowed here; the most common species are catfish, carp and bluegill. Hunting is limited here, but there are plenty of nature programs, hiking areas and water sports. Sweitzer Lake State Park is a pristine picnic spot, and an excellent choice for boaters, water skiers, and swimmers.
