The Wave Details
The twirling slopes of the Coyote Buttes are some of the most mesmerizing attractions in Arizona. These eroded U-shaped troughs of Navajo sandstone look like thick ribbons of orange and red swirls that stretch upwards of 62-feet high and 120-feet long. However, this breathtaking view of this spectacular feature comes at a cost. Not only will your name have to be drawn from a lottery for one of the 64 daily hiking permits, but you will also need to trek down a 6-mile trail to reach to scenic overlook. But if you manage to make the cut, then you will be treated to one of the coolest natural wonders of this generation.
