Ramsey Canyon Details
This shady, wooded ecosystem is a pleasant change from the dry, desert landscape that Arizona is known for. Due to the year-round water supply, this canyon in the Huachuca Mountains has a much cooler and wetter environment, creating a cozy setting for an array of plants and wildlife. The lush vegetation of Apache pines, cottonwoods, and maples attract butterflies, hummingbirds, deer, and even wild turkeys. You will also find black bears and mountain lions wandering through the forest, although it is in your best interest to stay as far away from them as possible.
