Antelope Canyon Details
With swirls of orange, pink, and red sandstone walls, this canyon is easily one of the most mesmerizing places in the world. Created over millions of years by water and wind erosion, this underground canyon is filled with nooks, crannies, and passageways of unreal rock formations. It is located on Navajo land, which means you will need to book a tour through an authorized group in order to venture deep within the canyon’s crevices. From the ground, you won’t see much more than a large crack in the foundation. But as you descend into the depths of the canyon, you will find an entirely different world of colors and curves illuminated by beams of light emitted from above. Most visitors head to the easily accessible Upper Antelope Canyon, although the Lower Antelope Canyon is also a worthwhile adventure for more serious explorers and photographers.
