Humphreys Peak Details
Standing over 12,600-feet tall, this peak is the highest (and arguably most impressive) mountain in the San Francisco Peaks. Not only is it a popular destination for hikers and skiers, but it also happens to be one of the best places for birdwatchers. As the elevation changes, so do the winged creatures that live in the area. Northern Pygmy-Owl, American Three-toed Woodpecker, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Brown Creeper, and Red Crossbills are just a handful of species you will find flying around the summit.
