Romero Pools Details

A challenging 5.5-mile hike through desert canyons and desert grasslands takes you to this collection of refreshing pools. They are scattered in the basins and potholes of massive boulders, which means you might need to climb over a few rocks before you find a place where you want to cool off. While the hike is great any time of the year, the pools are only filled with water during the late fall to early spring or after a large rainstorm. While they are not large enough for a swim, they are the perfect size to rest your sore feet after such a long trek.
