Joshua Forest Scenic Road

Connecting the towns of Wickenburg and Wikieup is this 54-mile long road. It runs through both the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts, showing off a stunning mix of jagged mountains, shrub-covered hills, and flowing rivers. The entire trip is 53-miles and should take you roughly an hour to drive. If you plan on making a few stops along the way, then pull over near the Big Sandy River or the Santa Maria River, where you can dip your toes in the refreshing waters while admiring the rugged rural desert that surrounds you.
