This iconic trail has quickly become one of the most popular places not just in the Glan Canyon National Reserve but in the entire state of Arizona. It is here where you will find Horseshoe Bend, a sandstone rock is cradled by a horseshoe-shaped turn of the Colorado River. The hike to the overlook is just 1.5-miles and is mostly wide and flat, which is perfect for families, inexperienced hikers, or those with mobility issues (the lookout is wheelchair friendly). It is also relatively flat, so it should not take more than an hour to reach. But realistically, the majority of your time will probably be spent waiting in line to get a photo over the cliff which is definitely worth the wait.
