Do not let the name fool you this trail is not actually a climb to the summit of this 3,171-foot mountain. Instead, it is a winding up-and-down trail that leads around the base and part of the side, although the views are likely to be almost as good as they would be from the peak. This well-maintained trail 3.5-miles roundtrip. If you arrive early enough, you will see early morning runners and joggers taking advantage of the smooth path. The trail becomes quite crowded and hot in the late afternoon. While it is mostly flat, the last section is a little steeper, although it is nothing compared to the other strenuous hikes in the area.
