West Fork of Oak Creek Trail Details

Surrounded by rugged canyon walls and covered in a forest of Douglas firs and bigtooth maples, this trail is a beautiful oasis near Munds Park. It's an easy 7-mile trek through the wooded forests and along the banks of a creek, although you should be prepared to cross a few trickling streams. For this reason, you will want to have a pair of water shoes with you to help with the crossing. A large pool of water marks the end of the trail. You can spend some time cooling off or soaking your feet. More adventurous hikers may want to trek upstream to continue the journey, although most people will usually turn back around at this point.
