El Capitan Details

Located in the Guadalupe Mountains is one of Texas's tallest and most iconic landmarks. This 8,085-foot mountainous peak can be seen for miles around, which has made it a beacon signal for wandering travelers and hikers throughout the years. A trek to the top of the peak is possible, although it's very steep and has a high elevation gain. However, visitors can still admire the mountain from afar, which many would argue boasts better views than from the summit.
