Surfside Beach

As its name implies, this beach is known for its amazing swells and rugged waves, making it one of the best places to go surfing in Texas. You will also feel the laid-back surfer vibes as you walk through the town, with plenty of seafood shacks and rental shops dotted along the shoreline. Besides surfing, the beach also has 4-miles of soft sand where you can kick back and work on your tan. You might notice a few aspiring fishermen reeling in tonight's dinner or crabbing on the pier near Stahlman Park. Migratory birds also make their way past the beach, and it's common to spot spoonbills, cranes, geese, and herons soaring through the sky.
