South Padre Island Details

This island sits in the middle of the Gulf and has some of the most beautiful beaches on this side of the state. In fact, the island is famous for its white-sand beaches and world-class water sports and activities. And with over 30-miles of coastline to explore, you could easily spend a whole weekend and still not even scratch the surface of what this place has to offer. Horseback riding, dolphin watching, deep-sea fishing, and beachcombing are just a few activities you can do during your visit. You can also take a guided bird walk at the South Padre Island Birding, Nature Center & Alligator Sanctuary to see coastal Roseate Spoonbill, Reddish Egret, Brown Pelicans, and Tricolored Heron.
