The wildlife here is almost as impressive as the breathtaking scenery itself. The island is located on the migratory path for birds, which means 45% of all North American bird species have been spotted in this area at one point or another. And in the summer, the shores turn into a nesting ground for Kemp's ridley sea turtles, the rarest seat turtle in the entire world. Other popular activities here include kayaking, beachcombing, fishing, and camping.
