This small portion of the Guadalupe River is a popular place to spend the day swimming. Despite being close to State Highway 39, this swimming hole feels like it is completely secluded in the middle of nature. With the sound of chirping birds and the plummeting roar of cascading waterfalls, you will easily forget you are located close to the city. The lush setting is partially shaded by oak trees, which provide protection against the scorching sun during the afternoon. The water is protected by a dam upstream, although adventurous paddlers and kayakers are known to hop over it to continue their journey down the river.
