It is an 8,230-acre reservoir connected to the Guadalupe River with eight different parks (including this one) situated around its shores. Getting to the park is just a short walk from the parking lot. Along the shoreline, you will find several benches and some rocks where you can sit to admire the glistening waters. Parts of the lake are quite shallow, which is perfect for swimming. Otherwise, you will find that the deeper sections are better suited for kayakers or boaters.
